Chestnut-crowned Warbler

The Chestnut-crowned Warbler (Seicercus castaniceps) is a species of leaf warbler (family Phylloscopidae). It was formerly included in the "Old World warbler" assemblage. It is the resident bird of Himalayas and North East India. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests and subtropical or tropical moist montane forests.

This swift beauty is a part of the mixed hunting party and is very very difficult to focus them from the view finder when they hunt. They are always a part of the hunting party which comprises of warblers, fantail flycatchers, grey headed canary flycatchers, barwings etc. With a flock of almost 200 odd, I actually had to study their perching pattern to shoot this beauty. Generally their movements are in the dense vegetation and they rarely come out on the open perch. I could see that majority of these small beauties perch on that particular twig which was fairly out in the open with a decent light. Focused on that twig, my only hope was that atleast one of these beauties perch on that twig or a fraction of the sec. Luck favours the brave!! I focused on that twig and just for 4 frames, this beauty perched and could manage to get this image.
