Oriental White Eye:

Photographing these small swift and vibrant beauties at Old Magzine House, Ganehgudi is always a treat. The most challenging part is to focus on a single one as they always flock in numbers of minimum 4-5. By the time focus is locked, they change the perch. Thus as a photographer, have to be very lucky to get a focus lock on one and expect that white eye to perch for few secs to click few frames.

Understanding their behaviour as they took turns to enjoy the water bath, could see that they perch on one specific perch before diving in the water pot. After few attempts, with light conditions being favourable, could manage to get this chap waiting for his turn to jump into the pot watching his fellow members enjoying their bath. As I clicked few frames, from nowhere did the small fly passed him, caught his attention and his head chased the fly till it was out of his reach.. 3 frames captured by me depicted the story of which this is one of it.
