Common Babbler
Common Babbler
During my visit to Ranathambhore National Park early 2011, could manage to take some time after the morning safari ensuring that I spend some time around the resort campus. I managed to click some pictures of flowers from my bazooka. It was turning out to be harsh light, not suiting photography, so decided to move back to the resort room. As I headed towards my room, something flew right in front of me.. Landed on a nearby branch, I could then have a close look… Common Babbler with some nesting materials.. I decided to take some clicks reducing the exposure by a third. Could manage to take 3 frames before this swift chap decided to fly off…

The Common Babbler, Turdoides caudata, is an Old World babbler. They are found in dry open scrub countries in South Asia and also in Iran.
